Christmas has come to Germany!. Yesterday it was a Special day in german calendar. It was Saint Nicholas Day, also known as Santa Clauss. In Germany it is a very important day during the Christmas period because it is one of the days when you give presents to other people (In Spain is one month later with the Three Kings).
The kind of presents depends on each situation. Between friends normally you give chocolate with Saint Nicholas shape. Also during the whole month they give "Christmas Calendas" for present . This calendar may vary from cheap chocolate box to more expensive things. My flatmate got from his father 24 small bags with many different things (jewellery, cosmetics...) that she will open each day from december 1 until 24.
In my case I got some chocolate Saint Nicholas at the studio and home, and Tanja (my flatmate) brought this christmas calendar.
